This service is about ensuring the participant is part of a group based activity. We have experienced staff supervising all our group centre based activities. We monitor all our participants closely to ensure that they are motivated in the activity they are doing, that they are successfully integrating with people from a range of diverse backgrounds and most of all are having fun!

We carefully plan our social activities based on the needs of each individual participant, if a participant is unhappy or uncomfortable in a particular group we can arrange for them to be moved to another activity as soon as we possibly can.

Participation in group social activities is vital for those living with disabilities and they have proved to have a major impact on the wellbeing of a participant, in particularly:-

  • Improvement in general well-being
  • Encouraging independent living
  • Behavioural improvement
  • Offering a supportive and comforting environment
  • Creating a sense of belongingness

Our support staff spend a great deal of time in ensuring the needs of each individual participant are met when placing them in a group centre activity. They will offer continued support throughout the duration of the placement accommodating a participant´s needs and circumstance changes wherever possible.
